WELCOME MODERATOR

YUE CHUN CHAM
CANDIDATE NUMBER 1685
CLAREMONT FAN COURT

My production team included MAX GREEN 1629, SARAH MILLARD 1648 and LUCY SPALDING 1666.

Our team created a thriller genre, the plot is started with a boy, Jack Masters, received a letter with a picture of Olivia Blake and 'III Days' written at the bottom. At first, Jack did not think much about it, however, after three days, the news reported that Olivia was murdered. Later on, same things happened again, Jack received two more letters, where one has his own photos. This time, he got worried, because for the past two letters he received. All the people named on the letter was murdered. He only got III days to solve all the mysteries and to prevent the same ending that the others faced.

All my RESEARCH, PLANNING and CONSTRUCTION follow below on the main blog roll, in reverse order, starting with the lasting first.

Editing
I did the title sequence the our production ident using Adobe After Effects, where all the construction post could be found in my blog below. I have improved my skills on creating special effects and the skills on making all the scene look harmonious. I did this by changing the hue and saturation, curves and colour block in Final Cut.

Directing
I directed the scene where Jack Master walked into his house. When Jack knew nothing and first walked into his house, I set the pace of him walking slowly, as he was not prepared for the letters. Then for the next two times when he walked, I set the pace quicker then the first time because Jack knew that there would be more letters coming in and he wanted to see it as soon as possible.

Camerawork
Same, I did the camerawork for the scene where Jack walked into his house, This shot was done extremely well, where I have used a fisheye lens to simulate the door eye's point of view.

CONSTRUCTION: INVESTIGATION BOARD

We created a investigation board as a prop as we needed it in our final scene which brings the drama to a climax. To make it look authentic, we took images (using screenshots) from our film, article, post-it, envelopes and photos. In the end, we all agreed that we should use a red string to bring the board together, as the use of red string is a traditional feature used on professional police investigation pin boards and seen in in police procedural dramas.
