CONSTRUCTION: QR CODE ON FILM POSTER

I came up with an idea of making an QR code on my film poster due to the convenience that it would brought. The advantages of having an QR code on the poster are that it would attracts audience to scan the QR code and be able to address to our social media page and trailers.

After researching how to make a QR code, I have made my qr code through QR creator, I chose this generator because this website enables me to put all my film social media page, including our YouTube channel and my film website.

PREP: PROPS

I have created a prop list, which we need for our filming.
  1. 3 letters
  2. Newspaper
  3. Radio
  4. Handcuffs

I have make the letter and envelope props through photoshop, I started with drawing ideas on papers then moving all the ideas to photoshop.

Then I have measured the size of both of them, making sure that the letter would not be bigger than the envelope.

This is my first idea for the letter, however, I found out that the font was not serious enough and the picture of Sandra Lee should be bigger than then text part to make it draw audience attention more.

My second idea for the letter. The letter do look more neat, but it looks more alike as a postcard, and would not give an as serious to the frame. Yet, I have changed the font which is more formal.

This is my final idea, I have enlarge the photo part so it is more easy to attract audience attention at one sight.

Final work

I have found an envelope template and changed all the words, size and put the names (which has the same font with the envelope).

Final work

We planned that we were going to use an article for our trailer in the beginning, therefore this newspaper was made. In Photoshop, I replace an image of Olivia Blake (in black and white) and rewrite the title of the article to 'Olivia Blake, mother of two, gone missing.' However, after printing this page out, our production team realised that it did not look realistic, therefore Lucy and Sarah used tea bags to tint the paper and stuck it on top of a newspaper in order to make the thickness realistic as well.
